Three Minutes…

I’ve had my eye on MamaKat’s blog for some time now.

Every week she  lists a few writing prompts.  You pick one, write about it and post it on your blog on Thursdays.  I usually decline the assignment.  It feels too much like homework. There are some things I miss about school but homework is not one of them.  But I’m thinking it might be a good way to exercise my writing muscles.  So I’m giving it a shot.  We’ll see how long it lasts.

The prompt I chose was:

2)  List 10 things you can do in 3 minutes.

Easy enough.

  1. Wake up
  2. Peek at the clock
  3. Turn off the alarm before it buzzes
  4. Close my eyes
  5. Think, “I should really get up and exercise.  But it’s so cold out and I’m so tired. Maybe I can fit it in during the day.  Yeah, that’s what I’ll do.”
  6. Then think,” No, if I don’t do it this morning, I won’t do it at all.”
  7. Peek at the clock again.
  8. Close my eyes.
  9. Literally feel the guilt creep in
  10. Go back to sleep

Update on my new Bar Method workout routine coming soon.

Happy Thursday!!!

  1. I am so freaking glad that the last line said “go back to sleep” I would have been really annoyed if you’d jumped up and exercised lol. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who doesn’t let the guilt control me!

  2. Love this post because it sounds exactly like me, going back and forth with the i-really-should-exercise-but-i-don’t-want-to-and-if-i-don’t-i’ll feel really guilty thing. Guilt. Gotta love it! p.s. “I belong” too!

  3. Loved this and it sounds so familiar. Spring really is a great motivator! Or shopping for new clothes this week made me even more determined!

(I hope I did not come on too strong about cute little lambs… My dad LOVED raising them. I just couldn’t eat them:-)

  4. I can’t even wake up in 3 minutes. Takes me a few hours. Oh, I’m walking around and brushing hair and making toast, but I’m not really awake!

  5. hahaha That sounds like me too, except I would never get up and excercise in the morning! haha Every minute is precious! I’ll have to go check out MamaKat now! Thanks for the link! 🙂

  6. This sounds like what my post could be tomorrow morning…I’ve been working in the yard all day, and I’m literally almost too tired to type this message on my keyboard. Happy Spring!

  7. I’m coming over from Mormon Mommy Blogs, asking for your help. I am in the running for a round trip airfare paid ticket to Connecticut, to meet a friend I became acquainted with through blogging. She is a super fun person and is holding this contest. I entered a funny story titled “Grapejuice Floaties, Now Marry Me.” The person whose story receives the most votes will win a trip to meet this generous lady, whom I’m hoping to meet. The voting ends tonight-midnight. I used to be ahead but there is a story coming up from behind out of nowhere, and it’s a tight race now. I would so much appreciate your help. Her blog is http://www.becausemomsaidso.blogspot.com and the voting is on the sidebar on the right. “Grapejuice, Floaties” Just go there and cast a vote for me, please. Thanks so much-you’re awesome! ♥♥
