On my ongoing quest to become a better photographer, I’m always on the lookout for classes, workshops, and personal challenges. In September I’ll be attending AfterDark in Portland for a 3 day hands-on round-the-clock workshop with over 30 fabulous mentors. I’m so excited about it!
The next workshop on my list is The Light Workshop, which I actually don’t have to leave home to attend. It’s an online class focused on learning how to see and use natural light to create beautiful images. If you’re looking for a wonderful online workshop, check out Detra’s blog for more information!
Here’s my shot a practicing finding and using natural light. I took this at the edge of a parking lot just as the sun was going down. The fake smile was the result of begging any one of my four children to please just stand in the weeds for a few seconds so that I could get the shot. Here’s the poor child who caved to my pressure. 🙂
