Art Display Project | Jasmine Johnson

Today I’m excited to have Jasmine Johnson from Jasmine Johnson Photography blogging for me today! Someday I hope to make my way down south to her house to visit her, but for now these images will have to do. When I saw the pictures of her hallway, I immediately wished I had a long hallway like that to display beautiful and fun black and white squares just like she has. And I adore this quote from Jasmine, “it doesn’t have to be a special photo session to be enlarged and displayed.” How true!!! Sigh… Take a look.

I feel like I’m the queen of indecision. Or maybe procrastination? I promise that we only have family photos hanging because I have purchased either prints or frames (but never both) and my husband always eventually gets annoyed enough about the unfinished product that he pushes me to get the missing piece and get it up on the wall.

This is my entry way. From our family session in 2009 with Cameron Ingalls (cameroningalls.com). They’re 16×20 prints, linen finished and mounted on styrene. I love the no-glass look. The frames are from Aaron Brothers – their 1 cent frame sale is my favorite!

Next is my office. I initially anticipated having a space where clients could come to order images, but I never quite got there. I have 6 standout mounted images and the two on the far right are my girls. I probably never will have clients come to my office and I’d love to transition all of these prints to family images.

I just love my girls’ room. Kind of crazy and colorful, so I picked a few big prints to match. In typical sisterly fashion, Logan is upset that Avery has a picture of her feet on the wall but Logan isn’t represented individually. Hilarious. (I also breifly considered cleaning up their desk before taking pictures, but why fake it???)

My favorite display in the house is this hallway. Four 20×20 frames from IKEA (again, I like cheap options) with 12×12 prints. These were just random snaps of my girls at the beach… it doesn’t have to be a special photo session to be enlarged and displayed.

Last, I wanted to share a few small frames in my bedroom. I prefer art on my walls here but a few sweet frames on the dresser are perfect for me. From our family session with Angie Warren.
