Art Display Project | Jasmine Sargent

Jasmine Sargent sounds just like me.  I get stuck in the same rut of not having time or decision-making ability to get my print up in my house.  I’m so happy that this project gave her just the push she needed to make some progress.   I adore the session she had this past fall and so enjoy seeing those images big on her walls.  And I can not wait until Baby Sargent makes an appearance this year and she can add to her art collection!

I have a ton of intentions and ideas of hanging photos in my house, but they always seem to get put on the back burner.  I’m always ordering other people’s images and just plain forget to order my own.  When I finally do sit down to do it, I can never decide how or where I want to display my images.  I just know it makes me happy to see photos of different memories of our life hanging on the walls.

Entry Way:  We have a split level home, so when you walk in we have a huge wall in our entry way.  I have two 16 x 24 standouts of our wedding pictures hanging on the wall against the stairs.  I wish I would have gotten them bigger, but now my idea is to just add more standouts to the wall.

Bedroom:  We had a session this fall with Brittany Janelle Photography.  I’m so happy that we had this session.  I love all of the images she captured of us.  I ordered a 24 x 36 standout of my favorite image from the session.  It shows our true emotion and just makes me happy!  I have to admit I cry a little when I walk into the room and see this!  And above our king bed, I’m now wishing I would have ordered a bigger size.  I may just have to add some more standouts to the sides.

We also have frames on each side of our bed that we change out photos every once in awhile.  Usually a favorite each of us have.

Kitchen:  We have a tree outside our kitchen window that blossoms flowers every spring.  I love staring at it when I’m doing dishes.  I took this images almost 3 years ago and they sat on my computer for a year.  I knew I wanted them hanging in a row above the table, so three 20 x 20 canvases worked out great!

Living Room :  One of the first photos I got framed of the two of us was one of our engagement photos.  It was taken 4 1/2 years ago and is still one of my favorites.  It’s a 16 x 24 matted and framed.

Another favorite from our session with Brittany Janelle was one of us with our dogs.  They were our first babies and have become such an important part of our lives.  I know we will always treasure this image!  This one is a 30 x 40 canvas and works perfect above our sofa.

I’m so thankful that Wendy asked me to be a part of this project.  I do have all intentions of printing my own photos but just never get to it.  This gave me the push.  And being able to see how every one else displays their photos gives me ideas for my basement wall that right now is a big, blank, grey canvas!

Thanks, Jasmine!
