I’ve mentioned before how much I love personal projects. So much so that in 2011 I over committed myself and was slightly overwhelmed, scrambling to make deadlines so I wouldn’t let my group down. I still LOVE personal projects but have cut down a tiny bit this year. Jolie Starrett was in some of those projects with me and I’m so proud of her for being able to cut down as well this year to make time for her family and her business. And I’m a little jealous that this is allowing her to tackle a project that I would love to be able to try, Project Life. I can’t wait to see what she does with it. Please welcome Jolie and take a look at the other fun things she’s done with photos in her home.
Like a lot of us, I am so bad at printing photos of my own family. I have literally thousands of photos of my kids sitting on my external hard drive, untouched. I decided for 2012 that is going to change. I didn’t commit to any projects with other photographers for 2012. My commitment is to my family and to print images that they can see, enjoy and have for themselves in the future.
One thing I’m doing for 2012 is Project Life. I’m taking snap shots and printing them unedited and putting them in plastic (GASP). Like everyone,I feel like I’m so busy all the time and my hope is this will be an easy, no excuses way for me to print photos in a hard album that my kids can look at from time to time.
I do have some snap shots and portraits around my home. But not near as many as I hope to get done this year. Here are some and I apologize in advance, I am a horrible product photographer!
This is a 16×20 canvas of my kids in our living room.
This is a shelf from Ikea with some snaps in 5×7 frames that is above a love seat.
These are 12×12 canvas’ of my kiddos in our entry way.
These photos are in our entry way below the 12×12 canvas’ above. That is a
11×14 Organic Bloom that will have a place on a wall. I’m still trying to
decide where. And it will have a matching frame with another photo in it.
This shelf is in our office but seen right when you open the front door. I have a 16×20 canvas on top. A storyboard and you can also see an image box.
Thanks, Jolie!
so cute! Love looking at everyone’s walls:)
