I am thrilled to welcome my friend Jules Trandem to the blog today. She has become my inspiration for a beautiful and complete Project 12 this year. If you haven’t seen all 12 images of her ‘Just Us Twelve Times’ series with her sweet son from 2011, please stop by her blog next because it’s amazing. I’m so glad to see that she has turned some of those images into wall art in her home. And, as I already told her, I’m totally inspired to keep a card holder up year round to fill with prints!
Printing my images has always been important to me. We live in a small townhouse in San Diego and pretty much every single wall is filled with framed prints, canvases, float wraps, and standouts. Even with all of that, I think my favorite wall of art is the cork board above my desk. I’ve got a variety of images and mementos from the past 10 years attached to that board.
Two other spaces I love are two different walls with a variety of frames. Many of the images I chose to frame were from when Brooks was a baby and all I had was a point and shoot. Some of the point and shoot images are my favorite.
I also love my card holder. Last month it was so much fun to watch it get filled up with cards from our friends and family. The rest of the year, the card holder is filled with fun snapshots of our everyday moments.
For the past year, I’ve kept my eye on the sales through my favorite canvas lab and get one or two printed when I can. Most of the enlargements are 20×30 … a great size! I don’t think so much about where they will go, I just order them and choose a wall when they arrive. Seeing the walls in images like this makes me want to do more with my walls. I think I need to spend a bit more time on pinterest for some inspiration.
Thanks, Jules!

Oh Jules, I just love how you have showcased your images. I’ve been the same way as I order canvases (cause I just LOVE them) and then figure out where to place them once I get them. I adore your wall of frames, so much history there, and getting to see B as a baby is just to dang adorable!!!!! Thanks for the inspiration my friend!!!!! 🙂
