This week our assignment was to SHOOT A STRANGER. Krista Keller and I headed to San Francisco with our cameras and walked around the Castro District looking for the ideal “stranger”. The morning was wrought with opportunities! Being the suburban mom that I am, talking to strangers is not something I felt overly confident doing, let alone taking their picture. Luckily Krista was much braver and talked me into approaching this man who was sitting in a doorway, surrounded by the perfect light. He was kind enough to agree to a few pictures.
Now head on over to My sweet friend who creates magic out of the ordinary, Val Spring of Red Balloon Photography | Seattle Portrait Photographer to see what kind of stranger she met this week.

so proud of you Wendy… so very very proud. I love this soulful image, and you edited it with the perfect tones.
Love it! This looks like something from a magazine!

Wendy, that day was super fun and glad we had each other to lean on for some courage and ideas! I loved this guy from the moment we saw him. He was perfect and you did him such justice with your gorgeous image. Would have been fun to capture drunk loverboy as well but maybe next time. Beautiful Capture!
