I have to admit that I was inspired this week by a session a fellow Bloomie friend, Jobrina Hofleit, did with her kids this week. Every image was just beautiful! And because we just celebrated the 4th of July, I knew this week’s image would involve a flag in some way. Maddy added the cowboy hat and the blue jeans and we headed to the foothills to see what we could get. We found the last rays of the sun and kept having to chase them as they quickly crept up the side of the hill. I’ve been trying to go into sessions lately with no preconceived poses and just let things happen naturally, thanks to some words of advice from Deb Schedhelm. Well, that was the case this time too. I handed Maddy the flag and told her to do her thing and she was careful not to let the flag touch the ground.
I have to admit that I LOVE the images we captured, but this one is my very favorite!
