Danville Child Photographer | A Break in the Clouds

The weather here in the Bay Area has been so crazy this spring!  On the same day we’ve seen warm sun, cold rain, gusty winds, and snow on Mount Diablo.  I have a feeling we’re not alone in this crazy weather.

I was so excited for this family session I had scheduled on Saturday.  I kept my eye on the weather all week.  The forecast called for a 10% chance of rain on Saturday and I thought for sure we would be safe from the ravages of Mother Nature.  I was on the phone with my client on and off all afternoon discussing whether or not we could possibly shoot,  up until the very last possible moment when the rain just kept coming down.  As is the case sometimes, there was nothing we could do about the rain and so we postponed the session a couple of days.  We finally met up on Monday and, although it was still a little chilly, we were greeted with enough sun to give us good light.

These two grew up in the Bay Area and have raised their three kids here in Danville for the past 11+ years.  They just accepted a job transfer and are moving out of state for the first time.  I wanted to capture them together before they left to give them priceless memories of what they love best about living in California.  Despite the stress of moving,  I heard not a peep of complaining from these cute girls.  They were up for anything I suggested, including tromping through what probably seemed to them to be a patch of weeds but what I saw as an absolutely ideal photo spot.  And nobody second guessed me when I lugged my galvanized tub through the weeds either.

Thanks for a lovely evening!  Enjoy your sneak peek.
