Happy holidays from the VonSosens! Here’s a quick update.
After over 25 years living in California, we made the decision to relocate to Salt Lake City last summer. We landed in a fantastic neighborhood in Federal Heights very close to my sister and her family.
Ralf is working for a Bay Area tech start up and taking advantage of all the biking, hiking, and skiing he can fit in.
I’m working as Marketing Director for Mama Dragons and various house projects along with trying to throw a decent pot at ceramics class.
Maddy and Shane live in Tempe, Arizona with their two dogs. Maddy works as Celebrity Content Curator and Shane is Senior Treasury Analyst at Drivetime. They will be getting married in June.
Jack is heading into his final semester of law school at BYU with plans to take the bar this summer. We love being closer and seeing him more often.
Erik just graduated with her communications/PR degree from Loyola Marymount University and will be starting a job next month with a Bay Area tech company. She’ll stay in LA and is looking forward to moving into her own apartment where she will continue to sew, cook, and explore flea markets with her friends.
Will just finished his first semester at Utah State University where he realized that Logan is far too cold and isolated for a California kid so he has moved home to work until he can transfer to Utah Valley University in the fall.
We’ve had limited days where our nest as been empty and we’re pretty content with that. We love having our kids, parents, and friends fill our home.
We’ve made some great friends, connected with extended family, and are enjoying exploring Salt Lake City. Life definitely has its ups and downs but, as my dad used to say as he was battling cancer, ultimately “Life is Good”. Wishing everyone love, grace, and kindness in the coming year.
