Fifty-two Fridays | Thankful | Danville California Photographer

Only 4 short weeks left of 2011 and of this project of ours.  It’s hard to believe.  So much to be thankful for.  How apropos that our theme this week is:

thankful

There were so many things I thought of shooting this week for our theme.  If I was being honest, I would have created a collage of all the things in my life that I hold dear and appreciate on a daily basis.  When we lost power yesterday from crazy strong winds, I was thankful for electricity.  Everyday while I drive my kids back and forth to school and their activities I am reminded how thankful I am for my tired mini van with it’s 100,000+ miles and its stained floor mats and worn seats.  Every night I’m thankful for our home that keeps us safe and warm and protected.  My friends are always at the top of my thankful list as are my mom and dad and sisters and husband.  I could go on and on, as I’m sure your list would be similar to mine.  But today I am posting pics of my kids because they are the reason that I’m thankful for an old mini van and what motivate me to get up everyday.  And, truth be told,  it also helps that I have some recent pictures of them that didn’t make the cut for this year’s cards and I wanted to share.

Next stop in our circle this week, the talented Maureen Wilson | Mccomb,Mississippi Photographer.

  1. What beautiful children. I love that you shared them with us. I LOVE the minivan story. I can relate. I am never giving mine up (ps I never thought I would ever say that)…..I am well on my way…77,000 miles and climbing.

  2. So beautiful Wendy and love getting a sneak peek of your christmas cards! I don’t have a mini van yet, but my suv sounds like a similar vessel. Lol
