Fifty-two on Friday | Danville Child Photographer

It’s Friday again.  Time for another Fifty-two on Friday post!

This is our second of 50 more posts with our Fifty-two on Friday project. Last weeks post for this project can be found HERE.

I, along with 19 other photographers,  have teamed up to challenge each other on a theme every week. Our posts are designed sort of like a progressive dinner. Every post will list a link to another photographer’s blog every week so you can see each interpretation of the theme. Hopefully you’ll be able to pick up cool tips, tricks and learn from our incredibly talented group of women. This week’s theme is “black and white”.

I’m not sure if it’s the fact that it’s January and it’s been wet and rainy almost every day, but my images lately have been black and white and moody.  This post is no exception.  This is my youngest.  My baby. He’s sweet and thoughtful and tough and friendly and funny.  I chastise him everyday for growing up and secretly wish that he could stay this age forever.  Of course he won’t so I take lots and lots of pictures of him so I can remember.  I love the way these turned out.

No go take a look at my friend Breeze Floyd in Connecticut and her interpretation for this week’s theme.

  1. these are amazing! I love the way the light falls. These images will be such a treasure to you forever. And so true, they grow up way to fast, it’s sad. My youngest just turned one and it hurts!

  2. I’m so glad you put both pictures up. that first one is so moody and gorgeous, I just love it. And then the second one just puts a smile on my face. Great job girl!

  3. Wendy, these are both fabulous! That first one is AMAZING. THe eye contact, the light, the conversion… AH! And the second one… he is just adorable! Love that smile!

  4. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them both! Saw him at drop off at school today and lindsay said, “what? Erik has siblings?” Life does revolve outside their 4th grade world. 🙂 These need to go up on your wall! Great job!

  5. He is so cute! I always tell my boys I wish they would stop growing too! I love the black and white on these. I look forward to meeting you at face2face next month!
