The sun was soaked, paparazzi was spotted, Mickey and Minnie were visited, the Lego inauguration was impressive, miles were traveled, souvenirs were purchased, and Idaho was once again realized.
We’re back!
What I learned on our trip:
When you trade your tried and true Maui timeshare, remember there are those choice few properties in the trading mix that will take you back to 1984 in all its powder blue and mauve glory.
Checking your kids out of school and taking them on a surprise trip ANYWHERE is awesome!
A GPS navigation in the rental car was pure genius on the part of Hertz.
I’ll be first in line to petition for an In-N-Out Burger in the greater (or lesser) Boise area.
You’ll have tons of email and blogging catching up to do when your 1984 timeshare hasn’t heard of WiFi.
Star Tours is fun the first time and gets a little monotonous after about 5 trips to The Moon of Endor.
Seeing the mix of people at Disneyland will make you feel better about your physique.
But looking through your trip pictures may make you change your mind.
It’s hard after 6 days of sunny California to come home to a windy 35 degrees.
After 6 days of reprieve, it’s hard to get back to blogging.
I’m off to do laundry, emails, grocery shopping, bills, phone calls, and repack so I can fly to San Francisco tomorrow for my sister’s baby shower. But here are some lots of pictures from our trip. I’ll be back on Sunday to catch up on reading all the blogs I missed while I was away.
Great pictures, especially the blue skies and sunshine. I’m dreaming of summer. And Maddie is beautiful! She looks happy – you must have packed the right stuff.
LOVE your snaps! GLAD you had a wonderful vay-cay!! WELCOME BACK!!!

You guys are sooooo lucky. I’m an absolute Disney Geek. I get teary-eyed when I have to leave the park. I’ve got a picture of Walt on my wall. Yeah I’m a dork. Looks like you had a good time.
What an amazing trip! I’m glad you had such a great time.
Cute pictures! Did you hear that In-n-Out is coming here? And if it’s coming here, it might make it’s way up your way sometime!

I love the pictures!! So good to have you home again…
Welcome back to reality! Loved the pictures!
It looks like lots of fun and the kids look older! What did they find digging in the sand? See you tomorrow:)
I didn’t know you were coming to CA? I thought you were going to Florida, for some reason! I bet the change of weather was wonderful!
It looks like you guys had an amazing time! So glad. And your pictures are awesome!
Great pictures. I think you look terrific. I need to see some shots of the 84 Condo, though. I need more powder blue in my life.
Did you bring the right stuff for Maddy?
Welcome Home!
And, speaking for Los Angeles and Southern California (as I often do), it was swell having you here!
XO

Looks like a fun trip.
I packed enough of the right stuff to appease Maddy.
Thanks Celia. I chose not to post the unflattering pics of myself. The benefits of blogging. 🙂
Rumor is an in-and-out burger is coming to draper…
I think blogging breaks are great.. but should all be planned together so that there is not so much catch up to do.
Oh my! I am green with envy. Have fun in San Fran. You lead a charmed life!
