Karen is well known for making the best chocolate chip cookies in all of the Bay Area, (or at least Alamo). Although she’s had a rough year, she continued baking those delicious cookies for others almost throughout her 7 months of cancer treatment. I think that says a lot about her determination, generosity, and strength. I’m blessed that she came in for her Beauty Project session last month so that I could get to know her and experience her contagious sense of humor and love for life.
Karen had both Lauren and I laughing the entire time. She is a beautiful woman inside and out and I’m so glad she came in to be reminded of that. Here’s what she had to say about her experience:
Wendy , Your photography found beauty I thought was lost decades ago. We all know beauty is more than skin deep, but thank you for finding some “skin deep ” beauty and to remind me I am a whole woman! Thank you for finding what I thought was long lost. I am so grateful for your vision and talent behind the camera! I ‘m tempted to throw off my comfortable shoes and grab a pair of 4 inch heels! You have made me a Believer.
