San Francisco Bay Area Photographer | Fifty-Two Fridays | Week 30

Bright ColorsThis year I’ve teamed up with 19 fabulously talented photographers in a project called Fifty-Two Fridays.  Each week we have a theme and our challenge is to post an image that best represents that theme.  We are more than half-way through the year and I continue to be inspired and pushed creatively by my fellow photographers.

This week’s theme is Bright Colors.  Honestly I was stumped on what to do this week until today.  Our good friend Emily is in town again visiting from Idaho so we decided to take her back to our favorite Bay Area beach down by the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay.  Of course I brought my camera again.  And of course as soon as we arrived, we discovered the blanket of fog that usually burns off was still hanging on at 3:00 on the afternoon.  Gotta love Northern California beaches.  But the chill in the air and the ice cold water didn’t stop the kids from getting right in to the water, so I got the camera out and just started shooting.  Fortunately for the theme this week, the girls were wearing bright colors.  Fortunately for me, the lack of a blue sky in addition to the white foam of the gigantic waves helped those bright colors stand out.

A few more of these two goof balls.  More to come of the rest of the gang later.

Next stop in the Fifty-Two Fridays circle, my fabulously talented friend, Jasmine Sargent – Hazen, North Dakota Photographer.
