Meet Abigail
She’s pretty and soft and so so new.
I was thrilled when my first casting call client contacted me last night. Since her sweet newborn was a week old today, we decided to hold her session this morning. I ask all of my newborn clients to crank up the heat before I get there so that the house will be toasty warm and comfy for the baby. When I got there, it was the perfect temperature. Just warm enough to melt the lashes off of my eyes. Just to be sure Abigail would be comfy, I cranked on my portable heater as I set up. It did the trick. She slept for most of the session, waking up at the very end. Isn’t she just the cutest?
And best of all, her mom knits and crochets! That may not seem like a big deal to you, but for a newborn photographer, it’s HUGE. We’re always in the market for hats and cocoons and wraps and hammocks. She made the gorgeous gray cocoon and pink stripe hat Abigail is wearing. She’s on maternity leave at her Etsy shop right now, but you can bet that I’ll be first in the door when she opens back up for business.
Enjoy your sneak peek!
