The boys took off on their annual Father-Son Camp-out on Friday afternoon. Porta-potty and all.
Maddy and I enjoyed our “girls only” time and went with some friends to the “big city” to do a little shopping and have a little dinner.
We did too much shopping, ate too much food, stayed up too late, and slept in too long on Saturday morning.
Sounds (and looks) like you all had a fantastic weekend!
Just wish mine had been more like the one you and Maddy enjoyed. It sounded like a nice, strong dose of pure girly fun 🙂
I had to spend the last couple of days in, trying to acquaint my cat, to my new appartment (long story ).
There’s always next weekend, though, so here’s to hoping..:)
Hi – busy weekend, eh? Very darling kids.
For my part, I’m finishing 2 tissue cozies today and shipping one out that I sold. Then it’s on to upgrading my DeStash site, re-writing my Faerie Tales and on and on. Yep, I do love to be productive. Talk to you soon, Have a great week,

It must have been father and son’s weekend EVERYWHERE!
I can’t wait until I can do that with my girls. We did go out- we went and got yummy cupcakes, but shopping is not their thing yet. 🙂
Yay for boys-time so that you get girls-time!
I’m curious why BOYS would need a porta potty on a camping trip? No trees? Just seems odd to me.
The pictures are fabulous. Looks like a great weekend.
Spent the weekend rescuing our new turtle from my rottie, Daisy, knitting and randomly minding my two little ones. 😉 My neighbors probably wonder why I let my kids use the kitchen window as a door. Then I have to explain to them why I crawled out the window too.
Finally some delicious sunshine! Oh yeah.. and a funeral, ear infection, 18mth old teething, and some morning sickness. Not quite as fun as yours:)
Oh yeah.. and that card was from some online service where you can write a personalized note and they will mail it for you because no.. people don’t really do it by hand anymore:)
Ok, seriously they took a porta potty out camping? And who just has one of those around?
The shopping sounds like fun.
My son saw the picture of your son with the basketball, and announced, I have those shorts, and he looks like me….LOL, it was too funny.
Great pictures too!
Wow, a port a potty really? That’s so … cool, I think. Glad you enjoyed your weekend! We had lots of t-ball filling ours, AND I had a super productive weekend organizing. Now if we could just get spring to arrive 🙂
We had nearly identical weekends minus the shopping part. Was it father/son churchwide?
Girls days are THE best!! And your pictures are awesome…and I’m SO sorry I missed your SITS day!!!
Was that a port-a-pottty??? And a rat??? What is going on over there? (lol)
We are excited to see you this weekend! {We will be leaving after school – so probably won’t be at your house until late.}
I can’t wait for you to fill me in on what’s been happening!
XOXO

OK, they don’t usually take their own porta potty with them. It was a church camp out with 50 or so people and they were in charge of hauling the potty to the campsite. With that many people, a tree just wouldn’t cut it.
And no, that’s not a rat. It’s one of our 5 baby bunnies. We’re having a great time with them.
Beautiful photos! The bunny is absolutely adorable! It looks like a great weekend to spend outside.
Haha, I love the potty. Looks like everyone had a great time!
That bunny is to cute and you look like you had a great weekend! I hope that one day I get to have a girls day too, but right now the boys rule in our home.
Good morning! I’m stopping by to say hello.
I know I’ve already been in here on your post, but I’ve posted something I think you’ll enjoy on my blog today, have a look –

My son has been playing live stock games like chicken toss since he has been in Boise. He has never seen chickens before except on his dinner plate.
Sounds like a perfect weekend to me. Glad you were able to sleep in for a change. We are almost ready to make the trek to your house. It will be fun to see all of you again! See you late tonight.
